Gareth Bale has been spotted playing golf in Madrid after excluding himself from Real Madrid’s tough Champions League encounter against Premier League side Manchester City.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane explained that the former Tottenham winger told him that he will not be available for the Champions League tie.

Before missing the tie against Manchester City, Gareth Bale also missed Real Madrid’s last seven games to end the 2019/20 Spanish La Liga season.

And instead of watching his teammates playing Manchester City, Gareth Bale decided to go and play golf.

According to the report on Sportbible, Real Madrid have admitted they made a mistake in preventing Gareth Bale from making a transfer to Jiangsu Suning last summer.

The Chinese side wanted to sign Gareth Bale in a deal that would have made him the highest paid footballer ever in history, but Real Madrid blocked the move.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Man City vs Real Madrid saw the Citizens cruised into the last eight of the Champions League following a 2-1 win.

Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus scored in each half of the match as Karim Benzema’s equalizer was not enough for Los Merengues.

Raphael Varane committed a dreadful error as Gabriel Jesus stole the ball and provided the pass for the arriving Sterling who poked the ball home to make it 1-0 in the ninth minute.

City almost doubled the lead few minutes later as Eder Militao made another error but Sterling failed to punish the Spanish champions.

It was the turn of Thibaut Courtois to commit another blunder as his poor clearance gave City the advantage but Sterling for the umpteenth time did not convert the chance.
