Manchester United’s women’s team ‘are braced for an exodus of players this summer’ after manager Casey Stoney resigned, according to The Athletic.

Squad members are said to be frustrated over poor training facilities at their Carrington base, just like Stoney.

Also, United have failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

The players have been unable to shower between training sessions and meals.

The gym assigned to the women’s team is in a tent and the nearest toilet facilities are a 10-minute walk from their training pitch.

All these have led to at least four players set to follow Stoney out the door.

American duo Tobin Heath and Christen Press are expected to return to the United States.

Striker Lauren James has been linked with a transfer to Chelsea, while fellow forward Jess Sigsworth is likely to join Leicester City.
