Four convicted for violating order in Osun

A MAGISTRATES’ Court sitting in Osogbo on Thursday convicted four persons for violating stay-at-home directive of the state government.

The convicts are; Moshood Akinwale, 28, Oladimeji Sadique, 24, Dauda Abdullahi, 22, and Adewale Taofeeq, 28.

The Police Prosecutor, Mr. Kayode Adeoye, alleged that the defendants committed the crime on April 9, 2020, at about 12:10 pm, at Dugbe area, Opposite Freedom Park, Osogbo.

According to the charge sheet, the crime contravened the provisions of sections 203 and 249(d) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol 11, Laws of Osun state, 2002.

The Magistrate, Mr. Olusegun Ayilara, who had earlier convicted the defendants, thereby cautioned and discharged them.
