Sir Emeka Offor Foundation and Mrs. Aisha Buhari’s Future Assured Foundation have donated equipment and medication worth over N70 million to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jalingo, Taraba State.

Presenting the items to the hospital management yesterday in Jalingo, Offor, who was represented by Chris Okeze, said the donation was in fulfilment of the promise the foundation had made to the hospital.

The foundation, in collaboration with the first lady’s pet project, had last June donated medical equipment to the hospital. The foundation is into health and human services among others, Offor said, adding that the management resolved to continue intervention in the health sector “to help the public.”

The visibly elated Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, Dr. Aisha Sani, said the foundation had again demonstrated the desire to help the facility, the state and the country at large.

The CMD said the donated items would go a long way in boosting the activities of the hospital for patients’ satisfaction. Representative of the first lady, Kabiru Dodo, said Mrs. Buhari would continue to work with Offor’s foundation to take the health sector to the heights.
