The Federal Medical Centre, Idi- Aba Abeokuta, on Monday, said it has recorded two new cases of coronavirus.

DAILY POST reported that the hospital, on Sunday, recorded two cases and one COVID-19 death.

In a statement made available to DAILY POST on Monday, the Ogun FMC Head of Public Relations and Information, Segun Orisajo, said “the two latest cases are adult men.”

Orisajo informed that “the results of their samples returned positive a few moments ago.”

In his words, it was gathered that the first is a 36-years-old male, who resides in Ifo.

He was reportedly referred from a private hospital on account of difficulty in breathing and sore throat.

The Spokesman hinted that the case was admitted in the FMC on Thursday, saying he was subsequently screened on out-patient basis.

According to Orisajo, the second case is a 46-year-old man, living in Ake, Abeokuta.

Just like the first case, he was also admitted into the FMC on Thursday, with fever and difficulty in breathing.

“Arrangements are being made for their evacuation to the Ogun State Isolation centre for further management,” Orisajo added.
