Flock of sheep have been spotted enjoying themselves in a deserted children’s playground for the second day in a row.

The friendly farm animals have now twice been caught taking to pushing each other around on play area roundabouts.

Sheep are usually kept away from the children’s play area at Raglan Farm Park in Monmouthshire, but have been allowed to roam free during the coronavirus.

But park owner Gareth Williams was ‘shocked’ when the sheep started spinning on the roundabout.

He said: ‘I was quite shocked when I saw them on the roundabout, we don’t usually have them down here so it was quite amazing to see.

‘Some of them were playing and others were all around the park. I was really surprised at how quickly they’ve started to play and get the hang of it.

‘They’re not usually here when the park is open.’

Despite the park currently being closed due to Coronavirus, Gareth, 42, is being kept busy with lambing season.

‘We’ve lambed 200 sheep and there are only ten left to lamb – the rest are now outside making the most of the good weather.’

While the farm itself is closed, the farm shop is open for people to buy food and produce from the farm which Gareth says is busier than ever.

Mr Williams opened the 40-acre farm’s gates to the public in June 2016, with the farm offering animal feeding, tractor rides and annual lambing experiences, usually in April.

And yesterday in Preston, Lancashire, a flock of lambs flouted the the two-metre rule to enjoy the spring weather and have their daily exercise.

Hairdresser Debbie Ellis, 52, captured an adorable clip of the lambs as they hopped onto a deserted roundabout and spinned around while enjoying the playground to themselves.

Debbie captured the footage in a field attached to her home.

The mother-of-three said: ‘We have a field that belongs to us by our house and we let it to a guy who keeps sheep in there as a hobby.

‘We have a roundabout there from when my kids were little, my youngest is now 15-years-old so it shows how long it’s been there.

Debbie continued: ‘Luckily the roundabout is in great working order so they do love to jump on and have a go.’
