Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has confirmed two key players that will miss his side’s Europa League final against Villarreal on May 26.
According to Solskjaer, Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial would take no part when Man United face Villarreal in Gdansk.
Solskajer disclosed this on Friday during his pre-match press conference ahead of Man United’s Premier League final day fixture against Wolves on Sunday.
Martial has been out since March 28 with a knee injury, while Maguire picked up an ankle injury in Man United’s 3-1 win against Aston Villa some days ago.
Speaking of Maguire, Solskjaer told MUTV: “He’s walking, but it’s a long way from walking to running.
“To be honest, I don’t think we will see him in Gdansk, no, but I am going to give him until Tuesday night, the last training session, to be out there.
“Steadily but surely, he’s improving, but ligaments take time to heal.”
He added, “Anthony’s not going to be available, but Scott [McTominay] and Fred should be okay.”
