Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, has suggested to manager Erik ten Hag to replace goalkeeper David de Gea this ongoing summer transfer window and make four other signings to bolster his squad.
Man United have already signed the likes of midfielder Christian Eriksen and defenders Tyrell Malacia and Lisandro Martinez so far this summer.
But Keane believes Ten Hag needs more reinforcements as Man United looks to make up ground on Premier League rivals Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.
Asked which areas Man United still need to strengthen after the additions of Eriksen, Malacia and Martinez, Keane said, as quoted by Metro UK: “Off the top of my head, it is the midfield.
“They need some top-quality players in the middle. They need some physicality, some energy. That is where I would start.”
He added: “Of course [Defence as well], the whole core of the team needs improving… the full-backs, the striker, and I am not convinced with the goalkeeper either.”
