Duchess of Cambridge takes her three children to support William

Prince Harry and Meghan’s son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor made an adorable public debut this afternoon, when he ventured out for his first outing with his proud parents to a charity polo match.

New mother Meghan, 37, cradled her newborn son and planted a tender kiss on his head as they joined the Duchess of Cambridge and her three children at Billingbear Polo Club in Wokingham, Surrey, this afternoon, while Archie’s cousin Prince Louis even blew a kiss at the baby boy as he was held in his mother’s arms.

The Duchesses put in a surprise appearance to watch Prince William and Prince Harry go head-to-head in the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day, held in honour of late Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

Kate, 37, looked elegant in a flowing pink L.K.Bennett dress, teamed with her trusty Castaner wedges and a red Mulberry bag, as she kept an eye on her excited little ones.

Meanwhile the Duchess of Sussex dressed down for the outing in a £545 khaki green maxi dress by Lisa Marie Fernandez and a pair of gold aviator sunglasses by favourite designer Stella McCartney.

It is the first time the Sussexes and the Cambridges have been seen together as families since Archie’s birth.

It also marks a rare joint appearance for Meghan and Kate, who are typically only seen together at official engagements attended by the entire royal family, such as Trooping the Colour.

While royal supporters were expecting to see William and Harry at the event, it was not known that they would be joined by their families.

The Duchess of Sussex is currently on maternity leave following Archie’s birth in May. However she has already made a handful of appearances, most recently to watch close friend Serena Williams at Wimbledon last week.

The former Suits actress sparked a huge row after her bodyguards told fans not to take pictures of her during the match.

She was branded ‘childish’ and a ‘control freak’ after former world champion Sally Jones, 64, revealed she was warned about taking pictures.

However today any controversy appeared far from the Duchess’ mind. She was in excellent spirits as she cuddled her son in the shade of the polo club car park.  At one point Meghan flashed a radiant smile as she held Archie up for a closer look at his face.

Later on the Duke of Cambridge and his team went on to win the Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Polo Trophy at the Billingbear Polo Club – holding up the victory cup for a photo.

It marks a rare outing for the two women following months of rumours of a rift between the Cambridges and the Sussexes.

However any strain was far from the women’s minds as they spent time together today.
