Minutes of the Federal Reserve’s most recent policy meeting released Wednesday offered a warning about the central bank’s ability to keep funding its operations at a profit.
In a document describing the proceedings of the July 26-27 Federal Open Market Committee meeting, a Fed staffer told policy makers that staff projections suggested the Fed’s net income “would likely turn negative in coming months.”
