The Osun State Police Command has been charged to deploy all its reserves, both human and material, to provide adequate security for the state as a whole.
This is as the command was urged to strengthen the security of the entire Obafemi Awolowo University community in Ile-Ife.
The Presidential Panel to the OAU made the appeal during its visitation to the Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode, at the Command Headquarters in Osogbo, the state capital.
This was revealed in a statement by the command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola on Friday.
The panel, led by Chief Mrs Benedicta Nwachuckwu, in the statement, said she considered it necessary to pay such a visit to the Commissioner of Police, as part of its statutory assignments on the general assessment and safety of the University and the students.

The leader of the delegate commended Olokode and his management team for their efforts towards the effective policing of the State.
In the same vein, the Vice-Chancellor OAU Ile-Ife, Prof. Eyitope Ogungbenro Ogunbodede also appreciated the CP for the unalloyed support and cooperation exhibited whenever he is called upon while promising to continue partnering with the Police for effective policing.
The commissioner, in his speech, appreciated the team and reassured them of adequate protection of lives and property within the OAU community and the state generally.
