Daniele De Rossi says he joined Boca Juniors because of his ‘passion’ for the club and ‘motivation’ to keep playing at a high level.
De Rossi was expected to retire from professional football after he left Roma but has instead chosen to end his career in Argentina with Boca.
“Why not Boca?” explained the 36-year-old in an official interview, which will be released in full tomorrow.
“This is a great club who want to win and do things properly. I came here for the passion I’ve had for this club since I was little.
“I came here for the motivation I have to play football, the passion with which I try to play at a high level, and this is a club who will allow me to play in a way that I like to.”
