The Czech Republic FA have come out with sensational allegations against Cristiano Ronaldo’s record after the body claimed the Juventus striker is not yet the all-time record goalscorer in history.

Cristiano clocked 760 goals on Wednesday, January 20 as he helped his Juventus side clinch the Italian Super Cup with a 2-0 win.

But according to the Czech football federation, Cristiano still has 62 more goals to go to claim Bican’s record which they allege stands at 821 goals.

A lengthy statement has since been released as well stating emphatically that 821 was “the most accurate number” to depict the number of goals Josef Bican, who died in 2001, scored in his lucrative career.

The statement insisted that Bican’s goal tally was derived from first and second leagues, national cups, the Central European Cup and national team selections.

Club friendly matches were not included in the tally. The statement added:

“It can be stated with full seriousness that this is a number that corresponds to the current state of the possibility of verifying all data, so it is the most accurate number possible.”

This comes barely a month after Brazilian club FC Santos also came out in defence of their legend Pele’s record after it emerged that Lionel Messi surpassed his record of most goals scored for a single club.

According to Santos, Pele’s tally did not stood at 1,091 and not 643 goals as alleged in practically all publications on the internet.

Ronaldo’s numbers are made up of 450 goals for Real Madrid, 118 goals for Manchester United earlier in his career, 102 goals for his Portugal national side and 85 for Juventus, and still counting.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Frank Lampard is walking a tightrope following Chelsea’s poor run of form in recent weeks.

The Blues have failed to replicate their form from the opening weeks of the season, with their campaign taking a nosedive since Boxing Day.

The west London side failed to build on their previous two wins to suffer a 2-0 defeat in the hands of high-flying Leicester City on Tuesday night, January 19.
