Cristiano Ronaldo continues to defy age as he won’t stop getting the goals at 35 and now he has scored a total of 30 goals in the 2020 calendar year, a feat no player has reached.

The Portuguese striker rescued Juventus from defeat with a brace against Roma to take his tally in the year to 30 goals for club and country.

The brace took the 35-year-old’s tally for the 2020/21 Serie A campaign to three goals, while he has now netted an incredible 450 times across Europe’s top leagues.

He is now the first ever footballer in history to reach the 450-goal milestone, adding yet another record to his long list.

Messi, meanwhile, sits on 445 goals in La Liga, just five short of Ronaldo’s new record.

With 30 goals for CR7 this year, no player has reached the mark as his closest rivals Lionel Messi and Neymar can only manage combined goals of 26.

The Portuguese striker further validated his Greatest of all Time status after netting his 100th and 101st international goals in Portugal’s 2-0 win over Sweden in their UEFA Nations League clash.

Ronaldo becomes the second man to reach a century of goals for his country after Iran’s Ali Daei who has 109 – and is the first European ever to hit three figures next closest is Ferenc Puskas, with 84.

He is also the man with the most internationals goals scored by a currently active player. Behind him are India’s Sunil Chhetri(72) and that man from Argentina (70).

CR7 has 9 hat tricks for his country Portugal. This is tied for the most international hat tricks by a European man – with Sweden’s Sven Rydell (who played between 1923-1932).

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Miralem Pjanic has admitted that though Cristiano Ronaldo was disappointed with his departure at Juventus, he endorsed his move to Barcelona.

The pair had successful spells with the Bianconeri, winning two Serie A titles following the arrival of the Portuguese superstar from Real Madrid in 2018.

Ronaldo spent nine seasons at the Spanish capital but his bitter rivalry with Lionel Messi and Barcelona would have made the 35-year-old make a negative comment about the club.
