Cagliari confirm goalkeeper Alessio Cragno’s shoulder injury is more serious than previously thought and requires more tests in 15-20 days.
The shot-stopper went off during the final minutes of a friendly against Fenerbahce and was initially diagnosed with bruising.
He had more tests today and visited the Villa Stuart clinic to see a specialist.
A statement from Cagliari warns the medics will get a clearer idea of the situation in 15-20 days, when there will be another consultation.
Meanwhile, Cragno will begin rehabilitation treatment tomorrow.
As the Serie A season begins on August 25, it means Cragno won’t be ready to play in the opening weekend.
