Lives in Dallas area with his wife and two childrenDallas Cowboys defensive tackle Antwaun Woods was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence on Tuesday in Frisco, Texas, police have confirmed. In addition, Woods was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. Woods was found with over 2 ounces but less than 4 ounces of marijuana. He is the second Cowboys player to be charged with possession of marijuana in the past two months. Defensive lineman Daniel Ross, who has been on injured reserve all season after shoulder surgery, was arrested in early November on the marijuana charge and a charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon.Woods was caught speeding on radar going 77 mph in a 60 mph zone, which led the police to follow him. The arresting officer said in the police report that Woods, once he stopped, had glassy eyes and “had delayed responses to simple questions.”According to the police report, Woods told the officer he was smoking the marijuana cigarette when the police car’s lights were flashing and extinguished it in a water bottle, leading to the tampering charge, which is a third-degree felony.Woods was found to have 2.07 ounces of marijuana in two Mason jars and a small gold cylinder as well as “multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia.” The possession charge is a Class A misdemeanor. He will miss his second straight game Thursday night against the Chicago Bears because of a sprained knee suffered against the New England Patriots. It will be the fifth game he has missed this season because of injury.
