A Nigerian Twitter user with the handle @_iamhistory has lamented the slow pace of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in releasing the result of his aunt’s and husband’s Covid-19 tests.

The person said that he had to tweet at the centre on Twitter because of the frustration the long wait for the result has caused.

In a tweet on Friday, May 1, he said it has been four days since the tests were taken and their health is becoming worse.

To paint how horrible the whole situation is, the Twitter user said that the affected people have got kids.

He, therefore, appealed to Nigerians on the social media platform to beg NCDC to hasten the release of the result.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi on Wednesday, April 29, gave much hope as he said that Nigerian would overcome the battle against coronavirus.

The monarch said a traditional vaccine for the virus has gotten to an advanced stage and the public would soon see the result.

Oba Adeyeye made this known to journalists in Abeokuta, Ogun state where he had gone to donate two motorized fumigators to the government.

The traditional ruler said he had been working hard with traditional medicine doctors in the country so as to come up with a cure for the deadly disease.

He added that though the world is working on a scientific solution to the virus, traditional methods as a way to get out of the outbreak should not be discarded.

The monarch went further in urging the federal government to emulate Madagascar in how it has been giving attention to the use of local herbs to combat Covid-19, saying the local medicines have great efficacy in healing patients.
