Maria Branyas, a 113-year-old woman, believed to be the oldest person in Spain, has said that she feels very much okay after surviving the deadly coronavirus.

In speaking with CNN, the centenarian said that she feels just like any normal human being with feelings like everyone.

Maria recovered from the virus after what was described as a mild case with it. It should be noted that she developed Covid-19 symptoms shortly after her family visited to celebrate her birthday on Wednesday, March 4.

Since that incident, the family has kept off and has not made any other visit. The 113-year-old lives in a private room at the Santa Maria del Tura, a nursing home run by the Institute of the Order of San Jose of Gerona.

Also worthy of note is that the woman, over her lifetime, has survived three past world terrible incidents, which are the two world wars and the 1918 flu that killed more than 50 million people.

Two residents of the home were not as lucky as Maria as they died of the virus.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that a lady with the Twitter handle @SibaMazwai said that all her family members, including her, have tested positive for Covid-19.

The lady said that all of them are isolating at home, except their mom.

She added that her mom has been admitted at St Dominics because she is having difficulty breathing. Out of all of them, the lady’s niece is the only family member that is asymptotic as all of them are battling painful symptoms with the virus.

In explaining how the symptoms came to one of those who commented on the tweet, she said that the first day, she had a headache then it was followed by a sore throat, blocked nose, backache, and others.

In other news, the Sierra Leonean government appointed a Nigerian, Dr Laoluwa Adejayan, as the head of its Covid-19 Task Force.

The government said that the Nigerian is better suited for the position, the government said that they took the action on the basis that Laoluwa’s work in recent years as a foreign medical practitioner has spoken for itself.

After the appointment, the government increased his salary to $20,000 (N7,740,200) monthly, a 100% increment over his previous salary.
