Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso wasn’t impressed with his side’s performance against Cagliari. “Once again, we did not play well in the first half.”
The Viola lost 5-2 away from home, and the owner tweeted his thoughts on the club’s official Twitter account.
“Congratulations to Cagliari for a good game and also to [Giovanni] Simeone for the performance and for his goal,” wrote Commisso on the Fiorentina Twitter account.
“Once again we did not play well in the first half and I didn’t like the team. I am very saddened for our fans that are here in Cagliari, they’ve always been close to us. At least one positive note of this ugly defeat are the two goals of Vlahovic in Serie A, bravo!”
Dusan Vlahovic scored both goals for Fiorentina today, whereas the 19-year-old had never previously found the net in Serie A.
The Tuscans have only won one of their last five games and dropped down to ninth in the table.
They face Verona after the international break.
