A cleaner who raped and murdered a school teacher days before her wedding was ‘a serial killer in the making,’ according to legal experts.
Vincent Stanford is serving a life sentence for the brutal killing of 26-year-old Stephanie Scott in Leeton, in rural New South Wales, in 2015.
After he was arrested, Stanford told a psychiatrist about the violent thoughts he harboured as a child.
‘This is just the way I’m arranged,’ the 24-year-old said.
‘This was something I had to do, I couldn’t stop myself.’
According to the Daily Telegraph, legal experts have analysed his interview and concluded that he was a ‘serial killer in the making’.
Stanford first thought about killing when he was only six or seven years old.
He knew his violent thoughts were not normal but kept them ‘bottled up’.
He said he would have violent thoughts on a weekly basis, especially when he had to interact with other people as he preferred to be alone.

The forensic psychologist also noted Stanford believed he could not learn to tolerate people.
Standford, who was 24 at the time, had been working as a cleaner at the school when he raped and killed Ms Scott.
She was in the school on Easter Sunday to prepare a lesson plan for a relief teacher who was filling in for her while she was on her honeymoon.
Standford was not been scheduled to work on the day of the killing but had been at the school and saw Ms Scott working.
He then went home to grab a ‘rape kit’, which included handcuffs and a knife.
He bumped into Ms Scott as she was leaving the school, grabbed her from behind dragged her into a dark room.
She was beaten about 40 times before he stabbed her in the neck.
Her burnt body was found dumped 70 kilometres from the school.

After raping and murdering Ms Scott, Stanford said he definitely did not enjoy killing.
But he said that killing her reduced his tension and the overwhelming urge he had to kill her.
He said he did not have any urges to kill anyone else for a couple of months after April 2015 – but said the feelings did return.
When he did have violent thoughts, Stanford did try to keep them in check.
The convicted murderer said he thought there were no treatments for his ‘inability to deal with other people’.
Another convicted killer who experts claim could kill again is Daniel Kelsall, who is behind bars for murdering of Morgan Huxley in 2013.
Criminal psychologist Xanthe Mallet revealed Kelsall showed no sign of remorse or guilt throughout his trial and during sentencing.

‘(He is) a textbook psychopath, he would, I believe, have gone on to kill again.’
Dr Susan Pulman agreed, describing the baby-faced killer as one of the most chilling murderers she had come across.
Adding the ‘cold and calculated attack’ was planned out and he was just waiting for his moment to strike.
Kelsall stabbed Mr Huxley, 31, 20 times after pursuing him home when he left a pub in Neutral Bay in September 2013.
The 25-year-old chef was jailed in March 2015 – then aged 22 – for 40 years and will not be eligible for parole for three decades.

Vincent Stanford was born in Australia and his family moved to the Netherlands when he was three years old
Stanford went to a ‘behaviour school’ in 2001 and 2002 in the Netherlands because of his ‘unruly behaviour, limited social skills, limited friendships and oppositional behaviour’
He was admitted to an adolescent psychiatric centre for ‘behaviour problems and violent incidents’
A report by the facility diagnosed him with autism and ‘oppositional defiant disorder’
After he was released, Stanford was referred for behaviour management but he was not prescribed any medication
He had dreams of studying information technology at university and wanted to join the army but was rejected in both cases
