A scenic spot in south-east China has staged a dazzling light show 1,640 feet above the ground for its thrill-seeking visitors.
Groups of tourists braved the vertigo-inducing glass-bottomed Huangtengxia Tianmen Sky Walk in Qingyuan city, Guangdong Province last Thursday to take in unobstructed views of the sunset over the mountains.
As night falls, the fearless visitors remained on the circular observation deck and enjoyed the amazing visual effects as more than 2,000 lights illuminated the sky in an adrenaline-packed spectacle.

The Huangtengxia Tianmen Sky Walk, which cost 268 million (£31.8 million) to build, protrudes 368 metres (1,207 feet) from the cliff edge and is suspended 500 metres (1,640 feet) above the ground, according to iFeng Guangdong. ‘Tianmen’ means ‘heaven’s doors’ in Chinese.
The glass-viewing platform boasts unobstructed and panoramic views of the winding Huangteng Gorge and waterfalls, which is popular for river-rafting activities among tourists in the summer.
The 168-metre (551-feet) -long walkway, with a man-made waterfall built under it, opened to the public on June 5, quickly proving a hit from visitors all over the country.

One model, surnamed Wang, told reporters: ‘It was like a runway suspended in mid-air. Although the bridge had stunning views and you could feel the fresh air, it was still terrifying as it was 500 metres (1,640 feet) above the ground.’
‘I didn’t dare look down. It was quite difficult to overcome that fear while trying to do the catwalk properly,’ she added.
