Super Eagles legend Vincent Enyeama has been hailed by Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy who claimed that the Nigerian star played important role in his goalkeeping career.
There is no doubt about the fact that Vincent Enyeama was one of the best goalkeepers during his active time in the national team considering his achievements with the Super Eagles.
Before retiring from the national team, Vincent Enyeama won the 2013 African Cup of Nations title with Nigeria under late former Super Eagles gaffer Stephen Keshi.
Since joining Chelsea, goalkeeper Mendy has been superb for the Blues in all competitions to the delight of all the Blues fans.
Mendy played incredible role for Chelsea in the Champions League semifinal against Real Madrid which helped Tuchel and his wards to reach the final.

“You get to a point when you are not sure if you have made the right career choice.
“I was at that point, but, seeing a fellow African like Enyeama doing it regularly at a the top level in Ligue 1 got me moving.”
Meanwhile, Mendy and his teammates at Chelsea are currently occupying third position on the Premier League table and will face Manchester City in the Champions League final.

The 38-year-old was given the privilege to pick his own team while conducting an interview with Ligue 1’s Twitter handle.
Ordinarily one would expect Enyeama to select his former teammates Jay Jay Okocha and John Utaka who had glittering careers in the French topflight division.
But the interviewer restricted the Nigerian from selecting another of his compatriot because he is already on the list as the goalkeeper.
