Barcelona are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea centre-back, Antonio Rudiger as a replacement for injured Gerard Pique.
The Spaniard was said to have picked up a terrible knee ligament sprain and an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament during his side’s defeat to Atletico Madrid last month.
This means he won’t return for club and country until some time in April 2021 and Ronald Koeman will be forced to replace the World Cup winner in January.

Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi is also on the shortlist of players compiled by the Catalan club for a possible move next month.

The good thing for Barca is that both players are not as important for their respective teams and would be opened to a move away from the Premier League to revive their careers.
Rudiger has made just one Premier League appearance so far this campaign and this was due to the absence of summer signing Thiago Silva.
Mustafi on the other hand has played two league games under Mikel Arteta who is unlikely to stop him from leaving the Emirates Stadium for a return to La Liga.
Daily Star quoting Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo report that Koeman has not given up hope on Manchester City defender, Eric Garcia, despite monitoring Rudiger and Mustafi.
Meanwhile, Rudiger said after he returned to the starting lineup for the recent win over Newcastle:
“I’m satisfied with how the situation has developed in the past weeks. Now I see myself as a permanent part of the team.
“I had a tough time, so I also checked other transfer options but I received positive signals from the coaching team.”
Bioreports earlier reported that Lionel Messi once again has been left out of Barcelona’s Champions League matchday squad to face Hungarian side Ferencvaros, Goal reports.
The Argentine superstar was also rested for the trip to Dynamo Kyiv the last time out as La Blaugrana came out 4-0 victors over their Ukrainian counterparts.
The Catalan giants have already booked their place in the next stage of the competition following the win at Kyiv with four wins out of four.
