Following the decision of the State’s Executive Council to reopen businesses in the hospitality industry as part of the next phase of easing the COVID-19 imposed lockdown, the government will be having a meeting with Representatives of owners of hotels, bars and relaxation Joints.
A statement signed by Funke Egbemode, Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation said this is necessitated by the need to communicate the protocols required to guide the reopening of their businesses.
The meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday August 19, 2020, by 10:00am at the EXCO Lounge, State Secretariat, Abere.
Egbemode explained that “Each association is expected to send five Representatives to the meeting to ensure adherence to the physical distancing protocol. Please note that nobody will be allowed entry into the venue unless they have their face masks on.”
