Sensational Nigerian entertainer, Folarin Falana better known as Falz the bahd guy, was being nosy when he popped a question at Nigerian celebrity sweethearts, Simi and Adekunle Gold.

In a recent live session with the duo on Instagram, the rapper was rather curious to know when last they engaged in sexual intercourse.

“When last did you indulge in intercourse, when last did you fornicate?”, Falz asked.

Reacting to his question, Simi whispered something to her husband’s ears, and the next thing he said was “we don’t believe in it”.

The reply obviously had Falz hit with laughter. The beautiful couple went on to advise Falz to get a wife and stop being curious to know when married couples are having sex.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of the Believer Loveworld also known as Christ Embassy Church is one of the few clerics who raised their voices against the lockdown on churches during this COVID-19 pandemic by the federal government.

In a recent video trending on social media, Oyakhilome took a swipe at church leaders who approved the new guidelines set for places of worship to reopen for service by the federal and state governments after the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 lifted the ban on religious gatherings on Monday, June 1.

Pastor Oyakhilome while preaching on Saturday, June 6, slammed church leaders who appended their signatures to the document on the new-laid down rules to operate worship centres.

He claimed that some church leaders have supported the continued lockdown on churches because of fear, greed, and jealousy.

Legit.ng had reported that among the modalities and guidelines given is for churches to ensure they check the temperature of members before they enter the church, observe social distancing, have only one hour service, suspend taking of holy communion, suspension of weekly activities and others.

In a similar story, Legit.ng reported that Pastor Chris Okotie rejected the guidelines issued by the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on the reopening of worship centres.

It was reported that Okotie who is the pastor of the Household of God Church, Oregun, Lagos, called the guidelines an ‘abomination of desolation’ in a statement he released on Friday, June 5.

He, in the press release, vowed: “Our doors will remain closed until these profanation and secularization have been pulverized by the Emperor of heaven.”

Pastor Okotie, who had earlier in a widely published statement lashed out at CAN for proposing similar guidelines, said the government cannot reorder worship in the house of God.

Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola-Salako has made a submission about religious leaders been named in many rape cases in Nigeria.

The actress who is the founder of Passion Against Rape and Abuse Africa (PARAA) said that 75% of the rape cases brought before her foundation were perpetrated by respected religious leaders.

Foluke made this known an interview with media personality, Funmi Iyanda, while on her programme, Public Eye.

The actress who experienced rape as a teenager, she was sexually abused by their tenant at 17, claimed that 75% of the cases she has on her table are from religious leaders but unfortunately, she said they don’t get to the end of it most of the time. This is because as soon as they get started investigating the allegation, parents of the abused always beg her foundation to leave the accused religious leader to God.

She said: “75% of the cases I have on my table are from religious leaders, and a lot of time, we don’t get to the end of it, because when we start, the family would come and tell us we should leave the religious leader to God.”

The mother of two beautiful daughters also dismissed the generally believed notion that indecent dressing is the cause of the high rate of rape cases in Nigeria. She noted that the most vulnerable people raped are children, teenagers, and women who have advanced in age and not strong enough to defend themselves.

“Nothing attracts rape, it is a sign of weakness. Why do they rape minors, teenagers, and even old women, is that also about indecent dressing?

It was also reported that actor Segun Ogungbe has two wives and both are living together in love and unity. Their husband recently celebrated both women in his life on Instagram in April as both of them have their birthday days apart.

Michael B. Jordan Calls On Hollywood To ”Invest in Black Staff” During L.A. Protest

Michael B. Jordan called for Hollywood studios to “invest in Black staff” during a protest in Los Angeles, Calif. earlier today.

On Saturday, the Black Panther actor addressed a crowd during a protest against police brutality in response to the death of George Floyd, a Minnesota man who was killed by the Minneapolis Police Department in May. The Creed actor took the microphone to reflect on past film roles he’s played that have touched on themes of racial injustice and inequality as well as changes he hopes to see in the industry.

The actor recalled his 2013 starring role as Oscar Grant in the biographical Fruitvale Station and what it taught Jordan about the “pain” Grant’s family felt when he was killed on New Year’s Day in 2009 by a BART Police Officer in Oakland, Calif. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor said he “lived with that for a very long time and it weighs on me.”

The 33-year-old California native also called on studios and talent agencies in Hollywood to strive to hire more Black staff.

“A great agent doesn’t have to be a great organizer,” he said, per THR, “but a great agent could advocate for relationships with organizers.”

“What we are doing today will make our values heard and our voices heard,” Jordan said at another point during the protest. “What we are doing today will make our values heard and our voices heard. We’ve got to keep agitating things. We can’t be complacent. We can’t let this moment just pass us by, we have to continue to put our foot on their necks.”

The police officer who was videotaped kneeling on Floyd’s neck, Derek Chauvin, has since been fired and arrested. He has been charged with second-degree murder, following an upgrade from his original charges of third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

Additionally, the three officers who witnessed the death of Floyd without intervening—J.A. Keung, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao—have also been fired and arrested.

Jordan joins a list of other celebrities including Ariana Grande, Jamie Foxx, Halseyand Anthony Anderson that have taken to the streets to protest in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and to demand justice for Floyd.

According to an Instagram video posted by @BlackLove, the actor also expressed during today’s protest that “if you have racist beliefs, if you have a racist bone in your body, if you’re not with me, if you don’t stand with me and people that look like me, you don’t need to be with me. I use my power to demand diversity but it’s time that studios and agencies… do so.”

On Saturday, a public memorial was held in North Carolina for Floyd.

Floyd, who died at 46-years-old, will be laid to rest on Tuesday, June 9, in Houston, following a viewing on Monday at the Fountain of Grace Church.

J.K. Rowling Faces Backlash From Fans Over Tweets Considered Transphobic

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is facing backlash after being accused of making transphobic comments on social media.

On Saturday afternoon, the 54-year-old author shared an opinion article from a global health website titled “Creating a More Equal Post-COVID-19 World for People Who Menstruate” and shared her confusion with the phrase “people who menstruate.”

“I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out,” she went on in her initial tweet. “Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?”

The DevEx article outlined the “many gendered aspects of the pandemic, including increased vulnerabilities to gender-based violence during lockdowns, and the risks faced by primary caretakers.” The article stated that an estimated 1.8 billion girls, women and gender non-binary persons menstruate, adding that this “has not stopped because of the pandemic” and still require the necessary “menstrual materials, safe access to toilets, soap, water and private spaces in the face of lockdown living conditions that have eliminated privacy for many populations.”

Quickly thereafter, the author became a trending topic on Twitter as many followers and people on social media began calling her out for her comments.

Survivor‘s Zeke Smith, replied to the author writing, “Hi! I’m a man! I menstruate! Stop being an a–hole!”

Smith appeared in the 34th season of CBS’ Survivor: Game Changers and was outed as transgender by a fellow contestant. Following his reply, a Twitter user asked Smith why he was “politicizing” how he identifies as. To which Smith responded, “[J.K. Rowling] is the one who is politicizing it by both denying that trans men exist and that all women menstruate! I do talk to my doctor about it! I have nothing to gain from it! My body just insists on doing it! I am not a woman!”

Despite the backlash she received for her initial comments, Rowling continued to express her viewpoint.

In a follow-up tweet, the author wrote, “If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction. If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives. It isn’t hate to speak the truth.”

“The idea that women like me, who’ve been empathetic to trans people for decades, feeling kinship because they’re vulnerable in the same way as women – ie, to male violence – ‘hate’ trans people because they think sex is real and has lived consequences – is a nonsense,” she wrote, referring to the backlash she was receiving online.

The Fantastic Beasts author then tweeted, “I respect every trans person’s right to live any way that feels authentic and comfortable to them. I’d march with you if you were discriminated against on the basis of being trans. At the same time, my life has been shaped by being female. I do not believe it’s hateful to say so.”

Singer and music producer Brad Walsh also responded to the author’s claims on Twitter, writing, “You’re a smart person. How do you not yet understand the difference between sex and gender? The only way I can possibly explain your ignorance at this point is willfulness. It’s incredibly disappointing.”

He added, “Ok muting now because the TERFs are out.”

TERF, or trans-exclusionary radical feminist, is a term that the author has been referred to as before. In December of last year, the author became a trending topic once again on Twitter after publicizing her support for British researcher Maya Forstater who has also been criticized as being transphobic. According to NBC News at the time, in tweets and Slack messages from 2018, Forstater criticized proposed changes to the United Kingdom’s Gender Recognition Act of 2004 that allowed people to self-identify their gender.

Rent alum Anthony Rapp also took to Twitter this afternoon to express his frustration over Rowling’s tweets, “She has such a powerful voice. Why is she using that voice to die on a hill of transphobia? It is damaging and sad and makes zero sense. Is it really her belief that trans women somehow threaten her own selfhood? What is she so f-cking afraid of?”

Actress Patti Harrison shared on social media that the author’s choice to tweet about “trans women not being real women RIGHT NOW during BLM uproar really shows her depth of thought about trans people AND black people… I am gettin flu-like symptoms trying to imagine her thoughts (or lack-there-of) on… the intersection.”

Singer, songwriter and model Kim Petras replied to Rowling and also criticized her for how she was utilizing her platform on Twitter, where the author has amassed over 14 million followers. “maam … read the room and post about BLM ! how is this the right time to go off on this ?” Petras wrote.

LGBTQ rights organization GLAAD also took to Twitter to speak out against Rowling’s comments. “If you want to direct your rightful anger over JK Rowling’s latest anti-trans comments into something positive, support orgs that help Black trans people like @MBJInstitute, @blacktransusa, @TransJusticeFP, @Genderintell and @ukblackpride.”

In another tweeted, the organization wrote, “JK Rowling continues to align herself with an ideology which willfully distorts facts about gender identity and people who are trans. In 2020, there is no excuse for targeting trans people.”

Despite the controversy Rowling’s tweets stirred, she went on to write, “I’ve spent much of the last three years reading books, blogs and scientific papers by trans people, medics and gender specialists. I know exactly what the distinction is. Never assume that because someone thinks differently, they have no knowledge.”

Victoria Beckham Says Fashion Industry Has ”Huge Role to Play” In the Black Lives Matter Movement

Victoria Beckhamis taking “a step back” to focus on how she can strive for more representation and inclusivity in the fashion industry.

On Friday, the 46-year-old designer shared a statement on Instagram detailing what the fashion industry can do better in terms of supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.

“The fashion industry has a huge role to play in the Black Lives Matter movement, and I can be better. We can all be better,” Beckham shared. “It starts with representation, both within our business and who we work with externally.”

She continued, “At Victoria Beckham, we have always striven to be inclusive, but we need to look inwards and be better. As a first step, we’ve set up an internal working group to look at everything from our teams and talent to our casting, suppliers, and partners.” She explained that the team will hold her business “accountable and ensure” as their short and long-term actions are executed.

Beckham stated that her titular womenswear line will also be “providing additional team training and support to ensure that we are listening to each other, really discussing the issues and identifying unconscious bias in ourselves and the wider business.”

“It’s each of our responsibilities to speak out and use our platforms for education, conversation and change,” Beckham continued her statement. “Things won’t change or be solved in a day, but we clearly can’t wait another day to start doing more.”

In her Instagram caption, accompanied by a picture of her statement, the former pop-star continued to outline the changes the fashion industry can implement to make more of a difference in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and other social justice issues.

“I’ve taken a step back this week to focus on the tragic events that I have been [highlighting] recently,” she wrote in the Instagram caption. “Watching things unfold and learning more about the Black Lives Matter movement, I’ve been truly sickened by how deeply ingrained racism is in our society.”

She went on to announce her commitment to “speak out” and continue to use her platform for “education, conversation and change.”

“Whilst things won’t change or be solved in a day, we clearly can’t wait another day to start and I am absolutely committed to being better and doing more, both personally and professionally,” she concluded her caption. “I hope you all share my sentiment and are doing the same with your friends, family, brands and businesses so that we all play our part in this vital issue.”

Couple Celebrates Wedding At Protest After Coronavirus Cancels Original Plan

A Black Lives Matter protest in honor of George Floyd turned into a wedding celebration when a couple intersected with those marching outside of Logan Square in Philadelphia on Saturday.

Dr. Kerry Anne Perkins and Michael Gordon were taking photos outside of the Logan Hotel when the movement passed by on Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The newlyweds decided it was appropriate to join in a moment of love and solidarity.

In a video shared to Instagram, the couple can be seen holding hands and raising their fists to the sounds of drums and the cheer of protesters.

The couple’s wedding planner, Rev. Roxy Birchfield, explained the moment to E! News.

“They were supposed to get married at Legacy Castle and it was postponed,” Birchfield said.

Since the New Jersey ceremony was cancelled, the marriage minister said the Gordon’s had a “micro wedding” on the lawn of the hotel instead. And for their first look photos, they posed in front of the hotel — which is when they joined in and celebrated among the protesters.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Gordons then marched with the group to towards City Hall.

In the background of the video, activists hold signs that read, “Black Lives>White Feelings,” and “Vote 4 Justice.”

In another widely shared video, the couple enjoyed a loving kiss as the crowd roared in celebration.

On May 24, the bride posted a message to her Instagram accompanying a beautiful set of photos, detailing the timeline of their engagement.

“7 years ago, he asked, I said no, he waited patiently” the caption started. “5 years ago, he asked, I said maybe, he acted patiently.”

Ultimately, their story had a happy ending.

“1 year ago, he asked,” Perkins concluded the tale. “I said YES!”

Fantastic Four Director Says He Got “Pushback” For Wanting a Black Actress to Play Sue Storm

Director Josh Trank got candid about working on Fantastic Four.

The 36-year-old recently opened up to Geeks of Color about his time on the film, which hit theaters back in August 2015.

During a virtual interview, he told the outlet that he wanted to cast a Black actress for the role of Sue Storm and claimed he was met with “pretty heavy pushback” from the studio—which was Fox before the rights went to Disney.

“There were a lot of controversial conversations that were had behind-the-scenes on that. I was mostly interested in a Black Sue Storm, a Black Johnny Storm and a Black Franklin Storm,” the director shared. “But when you’re dealing with a studio on a massive movie like that, everybody wants to keep an open mind to who the big stars are going to be.”

“When it came down to it, I found a lot of pretty heavy pushback on casting a Black woman in that role,” he stated.

Kate Mara played Sue Storm, Michael B. Jordan played Johnny Storm, Miles Teller played Reed Richards and Jamie Bell played Ben Grimm.

“When I look back on that, I should have just walked when that realization sort of hit me, and I feel embarrassed about that, that I didn’t just out of principle,” Trank expressed.

He added, “Because those aren’t the values I stand for in my own life. Those weren’t the values then or ever for me. Because I’m somebody who always talks about standing up for what I believe in, even if it means burning my career out.”

This isn’t the first time Trank has discussed working on Fantastic Four. He reviewed his own movie on Letterbxd back in November 2019.

“I was expecting it to be much worse than it was. I literally haven’t seen it since like two weeks before it came out, and I was in a heavily f–king traumatized state of mind. Why? Eh, save that for another time,” he wrote. “Everyone in the film is a great actor, and overall there is a movie in there, somewhere. And that cast deserves to be in THAT movie. Everyone who worked on Fant4stic clearly wanted to be making THAT movie. But…. ultimately… It wasn’t.”

“What I can tell is there are TWO different movies in one movie competing to be that movie,” he continued. “I was 29 years old, making my 2nd film, in a situation more complicated than anything a 2nd time filmmaker should’ve walked into.”

He admitted in his review that he didn’t regret “any part of it.” As he put it, “It’s a part of me.”

E! News has reached out to the studio for comment and has not heard back.

George Floyd’s Life Celebrated at Public Memorial Service in North Carolina

Large crowds of mourners came out today to pay respect to George Floyd, who lost his life at the hands of the Minneapolis Police Department, sparking nationwide protest.

A two-hour public viewing was held in Raeford, about 25 miles outside of Fayetteville — where the 46-year-old man was born. For a period, Floyd also lived in Houston, Texas before making his way to Minnesota.

Grievers and peaceful protesters lined the road outside the Cape Fear Conference B building, where inside the church Floyd’s casket was placed in the center of the of the lobby. Mourners were allowed inside in groups of 10 and asked to wear a mask, amid the coronavirus pandemic.

According to The Fayetteville Observer, the peaceful crowds cheered as men arrived on horses, and upon the arrival of a motorcade by a local motorcycle club, all in honor of Floyd.

In a live stream of the second private memorial service from NBC News, a choir sang the popular gospel song, “I Shall Wear a Crown,” as masked mourners danced and sang in celebration of Floyd’s life.

Earlier this week, the Hoke County Sheriff’s department issued a statement on the service, asking those in attendance to “be respectful to the sensitivity of the family’s time of grief,” adding that the service “is about the life that Mr. George Floyd lived and this is a time to embrace the family with expressions of love and kindness.”

Floyd’s sister, Bridgett Floyd, is a resident of Hoke County, according to Raleigh news station WRAL.

Floyd will be laid to rest on Tuesday, June 9, in Houston, following a viewing of his body on Monday at the Fountain of Grace Church.

Derek Chauvin, the Minneapolis police officer who was videotaped kneeling on Floyd’s neck, has since been fired and arrested. He is being charged with second-degree murder, following an upgrade from his original charges of third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. The three officers who witnessed the incident without intervening — J.A. Keung, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao — have also been fired and arrested.

According to court records from the state of Minnesota, the former officers are each facing two felony charges: Aiding and Abetting Second Degree Murder and Aiding and Abetting Second Degree Manslaughter.

The Get Down’s Justice Smith Comes Out as Queer, Champions LGBTQ+ Black Lives Matter Movement

The Get Down star Justice Smith came out as queer in a powerful Instagram post Friday night, also announcing that he’s dating 25-year-old Queen Sugar actor Nicholas Ashe, sharing an adorable photo of the couple kissing.

“@nckash and I protested today in New Orleans,” the 24-year-old actor began. “We chanted ‘Black Trans Lives Matter,’ ‘Black Queer Lives Matter,’ ‘All Black Lives Matter’. As a black queer man myself, I was disappointed to see certain people eager to say Black Lives Matter, but hold their tongue when Trans/Queer was added.”

Smith then used his platform to champion the black queer community by teaching his 360,000 followers about impactful allyship.

“I want to reiterate this sentiment: if your revolution does not include Black Queer voices, it is anti-black,” he continued. “If your revolution is okay with letting black trans people like #TonyMcDade slip through the cracks in order to solely liberate black cishet men, it is anti-black.”

He went on to explain why he feels it’s imperative that the Black Lives Matter movement is inclusive to all — and explained his grievances with those who remain silent in regards to the LGBTQ+ community.

“You are trying to push yourself through the door of a system designed against you, and then shut the door behind you,” Smith wrote. “It is in our conditioning to get as close to whiteness, straightness, maleness as we can because that’s where the power is. And if we appeal to it, maybe it’ll give us a slice.”

He continued: “But the revolution is not about appeal. It is about demanding what should have been given to us from the beginning. What should have been given to black, queer, and trans individuals from the beginning. Which is the right to exist. To live and prosper in public. Without fear of persecution or threat of violence.”

“There is so much tragedy on the timeline these last couple of days so I added some photos of me and Nic to show some #blackboyjoy #blacklove #blackqueerlove,” he said. “You’ve been my rock and guiding light through all of this and I love you so much. I know that on the other side of this Is change, though the fight is far from over.”

The post also featured a series of hastags: #justicefortonymcdade, #justiceforninapop, #justiceforgeorgefloyd, #justiceforahmaud, #justiceforbreonna, #sayhername, #defundthepolice and #endwhitesupremacy.

In the video leading Smith’s post, a peaceful mantra rang out at the protest in the French Quarter of New Orleans: “Black Trans Lives are sacred, Black Trans lives are worthy, we matter, we matter.”

The collection also featured a series of photos featuring him and his partner brushing their teeth, smiling and sharing a loving photo-booth-smooch.

7-Year-Old Gives Moving Speech During Peaceful Protest in New York

Lakyia Jackson says that her seven-year-old daughter, Wynta-Amor Rogers, just wants her voice to be heard. And after videos of the first-grader protesting have gone viral, her message is being shared around the world.

On Wednesday, a clip of the young protester shared by the LI Herald garnered attention, as the young activist marched with determination, chanting, “No Justice, No Peace.” Currently, the video has been viewed over 22 million times.

And in a video posted by Newsday on Thursday, Rogers is seen giving an optimistic speech at a Black Lives Matter protest in Merrick, NY.

“So for my message for people,” Rogers began. “I just want y’all to be strong, we can get through this. And whoever is like, homeless, we got you, just call us.”

When asked why she was marching, the Roosevelt Children’s Academy student had a noble answer.

“I just want everybody to get along,” the child replied. “I want us to be a good New York community. If we get through with this, we can fight this.”

In an interview with Newsday, Rogers said she’s glad her voice is being celebrated.

“I’m just so grateful,” she said. “My message is to people is that we can fight through this. As soon as this is over, in one year, we’re going to hug our family, go outside some more, and be peaceful.”

She later added: “I was marching because I want black people and white people to be together.”

Her mother also spoke to the outlet to explain her child’s grasp of the situation.

“She understands the peaceful movement,” Jackson said. “She doesn’t understand why people vandalize people’s property and things like that. I just have to explain to her that everyone is not peaceful. She understands that there are good cops and there are bad cops. We want everyone to become, just as one.”

The Long Island area has seen thousands gathering to march in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement, shutting down portions of major roads in Nassau County.

While Jackson has seen criticism about her daughter’s age and involvement in the protests, she doesn’t let it bother her.

“To the negative comments, God bless y’all. … I just hope that they can come to peace,” she said.

And as for the impact that Rogers has already made, her mother is truly proud.

“Look what my daughter has done,” Jackson said. “She has been heard.”

The immediate family of the late Nigerian born reggae music maestro, Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly known as Majek Fashek, has called on the general public to aid them financially for them to bring the corpse of the deceased musician home for burial from the United States of America.

Making the plea on behalf of the family is a former House of Representatives member, Ehiozuwa Johnson Agbonayinma who represented Egor/Ikpoba Okha federal constituency.

Agbonayinma who is a music enthusiast and owner of U&I Records made the call on Friday, June 5. He described Majek as a legend and Africa’s pride and as such his remains should not be made to be buried like an ordinary being outside his fatherland, Nigeria.

He added: “With the support of the family, the children, we are looking at how we can bring him to Nigeria to be buried. This is going to cost quite a lot of money, especially with the challenge of COVID-19. So, we are trying to raise funds. The only account we have right now to be donated to, is the eldest son’s account, Randy Majek.

The former legislator said that the idea of raising funds to bring Majek home was not conceived by him alone but rather by the family and a committee put in place to give the Nigerian music export a befitting burial.

Legit.ng had reported that Majek Fashek died on June 1. The news of his death was shared by his management via his official Instagram page by his manager, Omenka Uzoma Day.

In the video, he called on Nigerians to celebrate rather than mourn the reggae icon dubbed The Rainmaker as his contribution to the Nigerian music industry was great.

In another story, the federal government of Nigeria through the minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed, mourned the passage of Majek Fashek.

In his reaction, the minister noted that Majek’s death was a great loss to Nigeria’s creative industry. He also expressed his condolences to the late singer’s family and prayed for God to grant him peaceful rest.

Sesame Street and CNN’s Town Hall Deliver Powerful Message About Racism

On Saturday morning, CNN and Sesame Street joined forces to educated kids and adults about important issues with an hour-long special titled: Coming Together: Standing Up to Racism. A CNN/Sesame Street Town Hall for Kids and Families.

The show touched on topics such as racism and the recent nationwide protests, which have been in response to the Black Lives Matter movement and in light of George Floyd‘s death—who was killed by a Minneapolis police officer on Monday, May 25.

Kicking things off, Elmo and his dad Louie delivered a powerful message about racism.

“Daddy, Elmo doesn’t understand. What’s happening, why are these people together,” Elmo asked and learned from his dad that people are gathered around because they’re protesting. “Protest? Elmo doesn’t understand. What’s a protest?”

Louie explained, “A protest is when people come together to show they are upset and disagree about something. They want to make others aware of the problem. Through protesting, people are able to share their feelings and work together to make things better. They make signs like this… I’m bringing my sign to the protest at the community center later.”

When Elmo wondered if the protesters were feeling sad, his dad said, “They are sad and upset, and they have every right to be Elmo. People are upset because racism is a huge problem in our country.”

Elmo told his dad he doesn’t know what racism means, to which Louie replied, “Racism is when people treat other people unfairly because of the way they look or the color of the skin.”

“The color of their skin? Elmo doesn’t understand, Daddy. Elmo has friends with different types of skin and fur too—black, brown, tan, purple…,” the little one shared.

His dad responded, “I know Elmo, not all streets are like Sesame Street. On Sesame Street, we all love and respect one and another. But across the country, people of color, especially in the Black community, are being treated unfairly because of how they look, their culture, race and who they are. What we are seeing is people saying enough is enough. They want to end racism.”

“Elmo wants to end racism too. Elmo wants everybody to be treated fairly,” the beloved character said.

In addition to Elmo’s conversation with his dad, CNN also brought in Abby Cadabby. The fan-favorite character opened up about witnessing Big Bird being bullied due to his “color” and “size.”

“It wasn’t kind, and it wasn’t fair…,” Abby explained. “I wouldn’t want to be treated like that. So I understand how Big Bird was upset.”

James took to his official Instagram page to share a video of him speaking out against the recent trend of abusing women sexually.

In the video, the crossdresser was heard saying that if he was a girl who refused the advances of a guy and he decided to forcefully have his way, he would have killed many people.

Noting how guys are just concerned about their sexual desires and not the feeling of the girl they are about to hurt, James noted that he regrets being a man sometimes.

A Psychic Meets a Skeptic: A Firsthand Encounter With The Thomas John Experience

On Friday, May 29, my dead grandmother had a message for me. My deceased grandfather too, apparently. My other grandfather, who passed away when I was 2 years old, was also there, as was a cat and a male who died suddenly. At least that’s what Thomas John, the star of CBS All Access’ The Thomas John Experience, told me during a psychic reading.

Here’s my truth: I am a skeptic. I do not believe my grandmother, who passed away in 2017, came through from the spirit world to tell me I’m on the right track with my career. Did I tear up when Thomas John started asking me about her? Yes. Did he correctly tell me she had a rather lengthy and upsetting battle with Alzheimer’s? Yes.

That wasn’t the only thing Thomas John told me that gave me pause and brought on a few moments of, “What if…”

During the 20-or-so-minute reading, I was enthralled. I supplied yes or no answers when I could, conscious not to show too much emotion or provide too many details he could go off of. This wasn’t a “gotcha” reading/meeting, I am and was genuinely curious about psychic mediums and how they work. This was my first reading and I had no idea what to expect.

Regarding my two grandfathers, Thomas John asked if my father’s father had chest issues, something with the heart or lungs. That’s a rather common ailment in older men with cancers and heart disease rampant. My grandfather had COPD. He told me he sensed I had spent more time with one grandfather rather than the other, which was true given my maternal grandfather’s passing early in my life, and that my dad and his father were close. Thomas John had a vision of a coin collection—my dad wasn’t able to explain this when I later asked—and a basketball, which spooked me a little. My grandfather’s basketball games were legendary at family gatherings.

My paternal grandfather had a message for my dad, to know he was with him, and Thomas John told me he was getting a name with “H-A-R.” My first thought was, “Well, yeah, my last name is Harnick.” And then he asked if his name was Harold or Harvey? And yes, reader, it was Grandpa Harvey. Thomas John also said he got an “S” name from my maternal grandpa. His name was Stewart. So, yeah, you can see why I was getting pulled in.

A few of the things he said about my grandmother also tracked. Thomas John said we were close, that she was involved with my upbringing, which was true. She watched me quite a bit growing up. I have incredibly fond memories of being at her house on Friday nights while my parents went on their date night. When my mom went back to school, my brother and I spent a lot of time with her.

My grandmother wouldn’t let my brother watch MTV but allowed me to watch it when Whitney Houston‘s music video for “I Will Always Love You” was on. At night, Grandma Pauline would have a glass of Miller Genuine Draft (MGD) and a bowl of Bachman pretzels. Always MGD and always Bachman pretzels while she watched her recorded soap opera. Her hamburgers always had a ton of garlic powder in them. She would make us drink the milk out of our bowls of Honey Bunches of Oats, always keen on not letting anything go to waste. Once, she made a cucumber salad that was simply sliced cucumbers with some kind of creamy dill dressing. When I told her I liked it, there was always a bowl at every family gathering.

Thomas John asked if my grandma liked children, if she was warm. I waffled on that answer. She had eight kids, but according to my mom she wasn’t the warmest parent. Her relationship with her grandchildren was much different. Thomas John knew she didn’t have a formal education and said she was thought of as wise by us. Wise is one way to describe it—she was cranky. We used to call her Crabby Road, like the comic strip, an association she welcomed. But she had her warm moments, with me specifically.

When Thomas John asked if we talked on the phone a lot, I immediately said no. She wasn’t much a phone talker, but after our reading I remembered a very specific conversation. Once, while I was away at college, she called me out of the blue. I assumed something was wrong, but it was just a brief checking in conversation. She ended the call and asked if I was dating anybody. She said it didn’t matter if it was a woman or man, if they were black, white, yellow, purple or green, all that matters is my happiness. Hearing this from a woman I revered, two years before I came out to her, was important. When I did eventually come out to her, she again asked if I was happy and if so, that’s all that matters.

So, when Thomas John told me my grandma is with me as my spirit guide, and all I had to do was think about her when I was struggling with something, I welcomed that notion. Do I believe in the afterlife? Not really. Do I like to think there’s something out there after all this, something peaceful? Yeah, it’s a nice thought.

And I have been thinking quite a lot about my grandmother during the pandemic. Would she have been one of the many nursing home residents to die from the virus? What would she, a woman who had a bumper sticker that read, “More trees, less Bush,” during the George W. Bush presidency, think about Donald Trump‘s time in office?

At the end of the reading, Thomas John told me my grandmother said a property decision would be positive and he was seeing the number eight. The week before the reading, my partner and his brother began discussing homes outside the city and sending listings back and forth in private. They never publicly discussed the search. That, I admit, spooked me a bit. But was it just a guess based on my age?

While I do not believe my grandma, two grandfathers, a cat and a mysterious male who died suddenly were speaking to Thomas John, some of the things he said would’ve taken a lot of research to uncover. Regardless if he did a deep-dive or was merely taking stabs at societal norms—I am 33, of course I’m always thinking about my career, buying a home generally happens for most people around my age, and it would be rare if my none of my grandparents had passed from common ailments—I enjoyed the experience.

My reading brought up fond memories of grandparents, memories from childhood I haven’t thought of in a while, of simpler times when people could see family members and embrace without worrying about passing a potentially deadly virus. These memories made me laugh, and at least for a moment, wiped away the harsh realities of 2020.

A young lady’s joy immediately turned into an unfortunate situation in a trending video as she was dancing in a supermarket only for her moves to land her in trouble.

In a video sighted by Legit.ng on the official Instagram handle of Facts and Truths, the lady who appeared to be a teenager was with her friends at the shop.

They moved to a corner of the shopping centre where nobody could spot them and decided to have some fun with dancing while they still had some time.

Instagram big boy Hushpuppi has taken the delivery of a brand new Rolls Royce as he took to his Instagram page to show it off. According to him, the new automobile is his.

There is no doubt that Hushpuppi loves automobiles as he always flaunts different makers on his page.

Meanwhile, it does not seem that the big boy, who describes himself as a real estate agent was affected by the coronavirus pandemic as many companies and business owners recorded some losses.

Celebrating the new acquisition online, Hushpuppi said a prayer to God for his fans and followers. He prayed that success and prosperity will not be a once upon a time story in their lives.

The big boy also expressed gratitude to God for the many blessings in his life. He made sure to also say a prayer for his enemies.

Former Big Brother Africa winner, Uti Nwachukwu, has petitioned the Nigeria Police Force demanding a full-scale investigation into the rape allegation leveled against him by a Twitter user.

The reality TV star shared a copy of the four-paged petition letter he wrote to the police on Friday, June 5, 2020, on his Instagram handle.

In the caption of the post, Uti claimed he does not know the lady accusing him. He said he is angry, hurt, and utterly disgusted but he is scared to express his feelings over the fear of being attacked.

In frustration, the BBA star said he cannot defend himself. He said: “How do I defend myself against someone I can neither identify, nor address and still remain calm.”

He further spoke of his being a strong advocate against rape who always listen to victims and let their voices be heard. While working on giving victims a voice, Uti said he never considered what to do if you’re the accused; and that’s the position he has found himself now.

Legit.ng had reported that Uti Nwachukwu became the latest male celebrity to be accused of sexual abuse by a Nigerian lady on social media. The accuser identified as Kambili Korie on Twitter penned a lengthy narration that detailed her experience with Nwachukwu.

Korie in her post claimed that the incident happened way back in 2017. She said they became casual friends after meeting at a men’s cloth store where she worked as an apprentice.

The lady narrated how she had never imagined Uti was capable of abuse. According to Korie, after they met he expressed interest in her particularly because she was dark-skinned.

A couple of Nigerian celebrities have been mentioned in the trending rape allegation in Nigeria. While some believe this is just another smear campaign to ruin the reputations of these famous people, others simply think these are the works of disgruntled ex-lovers who are out to get their own pound of flesh.
