Former Olympian turned reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner has expressed her desire to be Kanye West’s running mate in the upcoming US elections.

The 70-year-old transgender revealed that she asked the 43-year-old rapper if she can be his running partner in his own planned bid for power.

She made this known when she was asked if she would vote for Kanye in the upcoming November 2020 Presidential election.

The celebrity gossip site TMZ caught up with Cait and asked her if she would vote Kanye and she revealed she has her sights set on the White House.

She hinted she plans to run for vice president when she said:

“I texted him and said ‘Can I be your VP?’ What a combination!”

Pressed if she was serious about her own plans for power, Cait teased:

“We’ll see!”

Interestingly, Cait already ‘ran for Vice President’ in the Comedy Central animated series South Park.

In 2015, she was portrayed as the running mate of Mr Garrison, who ran for President against a satirical version of Hilary Clinton.

Cait starred in Keeping Up With The Kardashians alongside Kanye’s wife, Kim, during her past marriage to Kris Jenner

Kanye’s announcement that he is running for president was met shock.

He took to Twitter on America’s Independence Day, writing:

“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States!”

His ambition has been backed by high profile stars including his wife, Kim Kardashian, billionaire businessman Elon Musk, and fellow rap star 2 Chainz.

Kanye’s intention to run for president doesn’t seem to be a gimmick as he has filed paperwork to ensure he appears on the ballot papers in Oklahoma.

The first poll about his presidency run saw him win a pitiful 2% of the American vote.
