PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met with Defence Minister Maj.-Gen. Bashir Magashi and Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin at the State House.
There was no information on what they discussed as at the time of filing this report, but sources within the State House said talks was on how to curtail the escalating violence triggered by the #EndSARS protests.
The protests had in the last two days degenerated into bloody violence in different parts of the country, leaving many people dead and property worth millions of naira destroyed.
Although government at all levels had been taking steps to meet the initial five-point demand of the protesters, the youths have refused sheathe their sword.
