Bruno Fernandes has stated clearly that he wants to emulate Manchester United legend Paul Scholes claiming that the Englishman was better than Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard.

During their active playing time, these three players were super brilliant for their clubs and even the England national team.

Steven Gerrard captained reigning Premier League champions Liverpool for many years where he won the Champions League but never won the English topflight title.

The 40-year-old between 1998 and 2015 played 505 games for Liverpool and scored 120 goals before moving LA Galaxy where he played 34 games with 5 goals.

Frank Lampard on the other hand won the Premier League and Champions League title as a player for Chelsea as he played 429 games with 12 goals.

Paul Scholes spent his entire football career with Manchester United with 499 games and scored 107 goals for the Old Trafford landlords.

According to the report on UK Sun, Bruno Fernandes explained that these three players were great, but he will pick Paul Scholes as the best.

”I think Scholes is the one who makes more difference than anyone else. And before everyone starts talking about this, I haven’t seen every midfielder in England…

“But I think in the last generation, those three were the three best ones, and for me Scholes was best.”

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester United who are Premier League giants have been hit with a big blow after their Brazilian defender Alex Telles tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time in two months.

Alex Telles was first tested positive for the virus in October and that has made the 27-year-old to miss four games for the Old Trafford landlords.

He joined up with Brazil’s squad for the international break as he produced a negative result and Telles even came off the bench in his nation’s 1-0 win over Venezuela.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently occupying 14th position on the Premier League table with 10 points after seven games played.

United manager Ole Solskjaer is currently under pressure for him to deliver at Old Trafford.
