He said the IPOB is responsible for the deaths of many innocent citizens and security operatives and their action is posing a threat to the peace of Orlu and Imo state.

“The attacks on police stations and killing of policemen during #Endsars were carried out by IPOB and not protesting youths for the sole purpose of hijacking and stealing weapons.

“They are now using those arms to destroy Orlu. They killed 10 policemen, a prominent Orlu son, Ignatius Obiezu and one Emmanuel Okeke (Soludo) collected their Hilux vehicles.”

Meanwhile, in his position as the chairman of the Southwest Governors’ Forum (SWGF), Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo state, has dabbled into the mounting ethnic tension in Shasha community of Ibadan, Oyo state.

In a statement on Sunday, February 14, Governor Akeredou maintained that all hands must be on deck, warning that actions stoking ethnic tension in the southwest will not be condoned by the government.

It would be recalled that in a clash that trailed the farmer-herder crisis in Oyo state, aggrieved Hausa and Yoruba people on Saturday, February 13, attacked one another in a tragic uprising that led to wanton destruction.
