At least, 13 people were reportedly killed on Tuesday, February 23, when suspected Boko Haram members attacked Maiduguri, Borno state in what appeared to be a rocket strike.
Bioreports gathers that there is a possibility of the stat recording more casualties from the attack as humanitarian workers are currently at the spot of the incident, combing the town for corpses.
Over 40 people have been taken to hospital after sustaining several injuries after the attack, The Bioreports News reports.
It was gathered that the major casualties were recorded at a football field in Gwange near the house of late General Mamman Shuwa, who was one of the earlier casualties of insurgency in the state.
