Chelsea full-back Emerson Palmieri is expected to start for Italy against Greece, as Cristiano Biraghi picked up an injury in training.
The Euro 2020 qualifier kicks off in Athens on Saturday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).
Fiorentina man Biraghi had been the favourite to take the left-back role for the Azzurri tomorrow.
However, it’s reported he limped off during training today after a knock and is unlikely to be risked from the start.
Instead, Emerson Palmieri will be given the reins down the left flank, having shown himself to be in good shape for Chelsea in the Europa League Final victory over Arsenal.
The 24-year-old was born in Brazil, but from Italian roots, and has two senior caps for the Azzurri.
