The abandoned theatre must have accommodated lovers of play from around the world and probably held one of the best theatrical performances of all time.

With a ripped ceiling and dilapidated walls, the theatre must have been abandoned for a very long time.

Playwright like Wole Soyinka will definitely not be happy with the state of this theatre.

In other news, a photo of the oldest mosque in Lagos, Shitta-Bey Mosque, was recently shared on social media by the official Twitter page of the state government.

Sharing the photo on Twitter, @followlasg noted that the mosque, which was built in 1892, is one of the oldest mosques in Nigeria.

In 2013, the mosque was designated as a national monument by the Nigerian Commission for Museums and Monuments.

The mosque, which was founded by Sierra Leonean-born Nigerian, Mohammed Shitta, is considered one of Nigeria’s most important historical legacies.
