Mikel Arteta who is the current gaffer of Premier League giants Arsenal has stated emphatically that he is not worried about the possibility of him being sacked at the Emirates stadium.

The Spaniard replaced Unai Emery at Arsenal and was able to make Gunners’ fans happy last term by winning the English FA Cup which gave the team Europa League ticket.

But the Gunners have not been impressive this season in the Premier League and there have been talks among fans and pundits on why Arsenal are not doing well.

On Sunday, November 29, Arsenal players disappointed their fans again after losing at home in their Premier League encounter against Wolves.

With that result, the Gunners are now occupying 14th position on the Premier League table which has put manager Mikel Arteta in serious pressure.

So far this term in the English topflight, Arsenal have been able to gathered 13 points which is the club’s worst start to a term in 39 years.

According to the report on UK Sun, Mikel Arteta explained that his players must improve in their subsequent games.

“The day I decided to be a coach, I know that one day I will be sacked, or I will leave the football club.

“I don’t know if that was the day after I signed my contract, in a month’s time in a year’s time or six months, so I never worry about it.

“My only concern is to get the best out of the players, get the best possible service to the club and become better and better.”

Arsenal will be facing Rapid Wien in their next game which will be in the Europa League on Thursday, December 3.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Swiss professional footballer Granit Xhaka who is currently playing for Arsenal turned down a mega million January 2021 move to Italian giants Inter Milan.

Inter Milan chiefs are said to be interested in the 28-year-old midfielder with them even ready to offer the Gunners Christian Eriksen in a swap deal, but Xhaka is not ready to leave England.

Antonio Conte who is in charge of the San Siro team is planning to bolster his squad when the January 2021 transfer window opens and he is now turning attention to N’Golo Kante of Chelsea.

Before turning his face to N’Golo Kante, Antonio Conte was said to have spoken with Xhaka’s representatives, but his efforts to convince the player were futile.

Granit Xhaka has become a core member of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side playing in seven of the Gunners’ nine Premier League games so far this season.
