Mikel Arteta’s odds of being sacked as Arsenal manager have been slashed, after they were dumped out of the Europa League by Villarreal on Thursday night.

The Gunners played out a goalless draw at the Emirates, after losing 2-1 in the semi-final first leg.

Arteta had been priced at 14/1 to be the next Premier League manager to leave, but his odds have tumbled to 15/2.

Bookmakers are now pricing up potential replacement for Arteta.

Former Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri, is favourite to take over, with Betfred offering odds of 13/5 for the Italian.

Leicester City boss, Brendan Rodgers, is priced at 3/1.

Arsenal legends Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry are 10/1 and 22/1 respectively.
