Two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has slammed fellow Briton Tyson Fury as their proposed two-legged fight appears to be falling apart.

The boxers reached an agreement to face off in a unification title bout this year with the first phase billed for Saudi Arabia on August 14.

However, an arbitrator has ruled that Fury must honour the trilogy deal he had with Deontay Wilder – a fight which has now been scheduled for September 15.

This development came barely one day after the Gypsy King confirmed his fight with Joshua was set for Aug. 14 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Eddie Hearn already set a plan B in motion for Joshua in case Fury and his team fail to get their acts together as they hope to fight WBO challenger Oleksandr Usyk in a mandatory fight.

The WBO on Wednesday posted a letter to Hearn to say Joshua’s representatives have 48 hours to iron things out with Fury before a fight with Usyk is organised according to Bleacher Report.

Although Wilder could agree to step down for the fight between Fury and Joshua to go ahead as planned. After all, the current WBC champion claimed that Wolder demanded $20 million in order to do so.

That was after Top Rank CEO Bob Arum said there wouldn’t be any payment issued to Wilder for the purposes of waiving the arbitrator’s ruling. He told to ESPN’s Mark Kriegel

“We’re not paying Wilder to step aside. It’s better to get rid of him and go about our business. We can make the Fury-Joshua fight for November or December.”

Sources claim that both Joshua and Fury were billed to earn around $75 million each when they battle for superiority in Saudi Arabia. His haul from beating Andy Ruiz in December 2019 was around $60 million.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Anthony Joshua has insisted that he will go through any form of torture just to be ready for his unification bout against Tyson Fury.

Both British power fighters have agreed to face each other twice with the first of the tw0-legged affair billed for Saudi Arabia – the venue of Joshua’s triumph over Andy Ruiz Jr.

The encounter will unify the heavyweight division while the winner takes all and become the undisputed king of his generation.
