Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has criticised VAR decision to allow Leicester City’s winning goal against in the FA Cup final, Daily Star reports.

Recall that Leicester City won their first FA Cup title thanks to Youri Tielemans wonder strike in Wembley.

However, the goal looked a bit controversial as the ball appeared to strike Ayoze Perez’s arm in the build-up.

Despite a VAR check, the goal stood as Chelsea suffered back to back FA Cup final defeats.

Tuchel has now questioned the decision with VAR seemingly not checking the incident.

He said: “The players said straight away it was a handball.”

“So now for the second game in a row there was a handball against us, and VAR is not interfering. Against Arsenal there was one on the line, and again today, and they are very decisive.

“I’m not an expert in handball any more, I don’t know when it’s handball or not.

“I don’t know any more when they need to punish it or it’s OK to play with the hand.

“We were unlucky today. But there’s never any guarantee you’ll end up with a trophy.”

Chelsea had more VAR drama with two minutes left to play in regulation time as Ben Chilwell found what looked like the equalizer but it was ruled out for offside.

Leicester City also had goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel to thank as he pulled off some fine saves.

The Foxes denied Thomas Tuchel his first title since he joined the Stamford Bridge outfit and fans of the club are disappointed.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Chelsea star Tammy Abraham’s stunning girlfriend Leah Monroe blasted Blues boss Thomas Tuchel over his decision to leave out the striker for the FA Cup final.

Speculation on Abraham’s future was fueled further after the England international was completely snubbed in the line-up against Leicester on Saturday, May 15.

Many football fans found this odd especially because Abraham finished as Chelsea’s top scorer this season.

Instead, Tuchel started with Timo Werner upfront, with Kai Havertz and Olivier Giroud providing attacking variety on the bench.

Abraham was in attendance at Wembley but could only watch from the stands as he was not on the team sheet.

The England striker’s girlfriend Leah did not appreciate Tuchel’s team selection and she took to Instagram to blast the boss in a since-deleted post.

“How on earth do you make the decision to leave your top goalscorer out of the squad for a final!? The same person who even scored the goals to actually qualify for this competition? “It’s not making any sense to me whatsoever. Not even the bench?! This has to be a joke,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, since the departure of Frank Lampard in January, Tammy Abraham has significantly fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea. Tuchel is keen on reinventing Timo Werner and this has seen the German striker received more minutes on the pitch, despite at times showing some lack of form.

Tammy Abraham has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs including Aston Villa, where he previously played on loan. Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham are some other clubs that have been linked to the striker.
