Andrew and his sister Margaret were saddened by the untimely death of their relative and urged people to be more vigilant when it came to protecting themselves from coronavirus.

He advised people to mask up and maintain physical distance because the disease was not a joke.

“With deep sorrow, I announce the death of my childhood friend Princess Amooti Ruth Kugonza commonly known as aunt Cox. She passed on this morning in Mulago after we evacuated her from Fort Portal with breathing problems,” Margaret wrote on her post seen by TUKO.co.ke.

Andrew added that their family had lost yet another member to the deadly grip of COVID-19 right after Cox’s demise.

Ruth married her 25-year-old partner, Larry Richard Abaala, in October 2020 during their traditional wedding ceremony.

Their union caused a fuss on social media as people judged the princess’s decision to tie the knot with a man young enough to be her son.
