1. Ads on YouTube filtered by Google

Natalie Barbu

YouTube’s Partner Program allows creators with over 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours to earn money off their channels by placing ads within videos. How much an influencer earns from the program on a single YouTube video depends on a number of factors, from the place in the video where viewers normally drop off to the type of advertisers the video gets. Some top creators have ad-placement strategies for earning the most money possible, and generally how much money is earned varies based on a video’s watch time, length, and viewer demographic. Natalie Barbu, a social-media influencer and YouTube creator with 252,000 subscribers, shared with Business Insider how much money she earned from a video with 100,000 views. On average, she said a video with around 100,000 views will earn her between $500 and $1,000, depending on how many ads she includes in the video.Barbu said that she has an average CPM rate of $10, which she earns per every 1,000 views on YouTube.Read the full post here: YouTube creator Natalie Barbu breaks down how much money she earns from a video with 100,000 views

Lauren Riihimaki

The YouTube star Lauren Riihimaki has built a business empire online and has 8.9 million subscribers. She created a multipronged business around her “LaurDIY” brand.Through licensing her brand, Riihimaki now sells DIY crafting kits at Target and Walmart Canada, and a bedding line with the brand Jay Franco on Amazon.Riihimaki said YouTube influencers have the opportunity to increase interest in their products by including their followers in the production process. For instance, if they were creating a bracelet (Riihimaki recently collaborated with the bracelet company Pura Vida), the influencer could share photos and videos of themselves picking out colors, beads, and styles to social media.Since 2018, Riihimaki has sold merchandise through the company Mad Merch and sells products like T-shirts, a phone case, necklace, and plush toy of her dog Moose.
