The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Lagos have arrested three Dubai-based suspected internet fraudsters alongside 14 others.
The disclosure was made in a statement by the anti-graft agency, which confirmed that the suspects were nabbed on Tuesday, January 26, and Wednesday 27, at different locations in the state.
According to the EFCC, the arrests were made after the agency got information about their suspected fraudulent activities in Nigeria and the diaspora, Linda Ikeji’s Blog reports.
The agency said the suspects would be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are concluded.
The suspected internet fraudsters were arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Lagos.

It was indicated in the statement that the Dubai-based suspects were apprehended at Victory Nest Estate, Jakande, Lekki, on Wednesday, January 27.
The Dubai-based suspects are Samuel Oluwasegun Olayinka, Afeez Fajumobi and Olamide Olamilekan Olaofe,
It should be noted that the anti-graft agency has intensified its fight against internet fraud as many Nigerian youths continue to engage in the illegal activity.

In other news, Gal Pissetzky and Vicki Podberesky, the international lawyers representing suspected Nigerian fraudster, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Ray Hushpuppi, have applied to withdraw from the young man’s case.
The Untied States lawyers said they took the decision because the Nigerian national stopped communicating with them and has hired new legal practitioners to take over his case.
The Nigerian man, who was based in Dubai before his arrest, is facing internet fraud charges and currently in detention in the United States.
