A former Senator who represented the Southern Kaduna Senatorial Zone in the National Assembly, Caleb Zagi, has won the Kaduna governorship ticket of the African Democratic Party (ADC).
He polled 185 votes to defeat his opponent, Abdulmumini Dada Umar who polled 32 votes.
The results of the primary held on Saturday were announced by the Returning Officer for the election, Alh Tijani Ahmed.
Senator Zagi, in his acceptance speech, shortly after he was declared winner, expressed gratitude to the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and promised to work with every member of ADC to ensure the victory of the party in the 2023 general elections.
He promised to build a new road map for the people of Kaduna State to address the challenges bedeviling the state and forge unity among the people of Kaduna.
