“Sorry, a Muslim-Muslim ticket in 2023 won’t fly. Nigeria is not Kaduna. Northeast is next. Osibanjo/Zulum is your next ticket otherwise APC will lose badly. Finally, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but of a truth: El-Rufai is a no-no in the south.”

Isah Yahuza wrote:

“This will be a nightmare to many, experience + doggedness! However, El-rufai must have to adjust some of his principles in order to succeed at the top. Buhari had to do the same to get on track.”

Usman IG asks:

“Do we have only northwest and southwest in Nigeria? Let’s try another option. Why not Zulum and Rotimi Amaechi?”

Ogidi Richard wrote:

“That’s a Muslim-Muslim ticket. Not good for Nigerian Christians. I know how they think. Amaechi and El-rufai is the best combination for me.”

Ibrahim Abdulrazaq wrote:

“God forbid! El-rufai is not controllable. He only believes in his opinion, others are secondary.”

Meanwhile, a former governor of Kano state and current chairman, Senate committee on Independent Electoral Commission, Senator Kabiru Gaya has expressed his desire for the southern region of the country to produce the next president of Nigeria.

The senator representing Kano south senatorial district in the National Assembly said that with the completion of President Muhammadu Buhari’s eight-year tenure in 2023, it would be unfair for the north to vie for the nation’s number one position again.

In a related development, the new leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has said that its main priority is to produce a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction in 2023.

The newly elected spokesman of the foremost Igbo socio-cultural group, Alex Ogbonna, made this known during an interview with a national newspaper.
