There’s no telling what will happen Sunday at the 2021 U.S. Open as the third major of the year enters its final round with as stacked a leaderboard as one can expect from a championship of this caliber. There is a trio of leaders at the top in Louis Oosthuizen, Mackenzie Hughes and Russell Henley, the former seeking his first major since 2010 and second of his career while the latter two are simply hoping to break through with a rousing victory at Torrey Pines.

Don’t be mistaken to believe that the U.S. Open is theirs for the taking. Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau (-3); Jon Rahm, Matthew Wolff and Scottie Scheffler (-2); and a strong group led by Dustin Johnson and Collin Morikawa (-1) are all within four shots of the leaders. DeChambeau is the defending champion in this event, while McIlroy is hoping to end his long drought without a major championship dating back to 2014. Johnson and Morikawa are more recent winners looking to add to their collections, while Rahm, Wolff and Scheffler are aiming to pick up their first.

All in all, we should be in for a wild finish Sunday in La Jolla, California. CBS Sports will update this story with scores and highlights from the U.S. Open below. Check out the live scores at the top of this story, a more detailed leaderboard, Round 4 tee times and our complete viewer’s guide.

Another intriguing subplot today is whether Henley can play his way onto the Ryder Cup team. If he wins today, gonna be hard to keep him off.

Phil’s white shoes make him look 15 years younger. I have nothing to prove this, but I’m convinced it’s true.

Sheesh. Hideki went out in 33 and opened with a birdie on the back to move to 3 over. There’s going to be a lot of golfers out there posting low numbers today. Definitely feels like it opens up the tournament quite a bit.
