NEW DELHI: The Common University Entrance Test-Undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2022 July phase resumes on Tuesday. While the exam on July 15 and 16 were held successfully across 247 centres in 510 cities, grievances have been received by the

National Testing Agency

(

NTA

) from 12 candidates of having missed the exam due to change of centres. The agency said a second chance to these candidates will be decided after ascertaining the evidence of their claims.

Vineet

Joshi

, director general of NTA, cleared the confusion about those who missed the exam. “We have received grievances from 12 candidates so far. Their claims will be looked into on a case-to-case basis after ascertaining the evidence in consultation with the

University Grants Commission

,” he said, reports Manash Gohain.

Joshi said that all candidates who landed in the original centre before stoppage of entry time or late at the changed centre will be allowed to take the exam again but after checking the video footage. “But any candidate not turning up at any of the centres are considered absent like it would have been in normal circumstances and they would not be allowed. However, all genuine grievances will be addressed.”

Many candidates from across 11 centres either were late in reading the mail sent on Thursday regarding the change of centres for their Friday exams or had completely missed it.
