The Special Adviser to the Governor of the State of Osun on Environment and Sanitation, Hon Bola Ilori has urged Nigerian Students to be steadfast and passionate about service to humanity, as this is the only way to ensure a brighter future during life after school.
Ilori stated this at the annual lecture of the Integrity Icon Organisation of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo his home town.
“The future is there for those that are willing to serve, those who are passionate about service to humanity and for those who are ready to study here alone, the future is not too bright, our country is in need of integrity people who are passionate about serving others, your interest will aid your involvement, your involvement will aid your investment, your investment will make you a shareholder and holding a share in Nigeria project will definitely make you a stakeholder, hence you must be ready to serve diligently, Ilori said.
Hon Ilori who was also the Chairman and an awardee at the annual lecture appreciate the efforts of the organisers, describing them as young chaps that are contributing their bits without putting money first.
“When I saw their invitation as an awardee and Chairman, I was watching and I had made up mind that should they request money from me, I won’t attend the event but to my utmost surprise, money request was not sent to me hence I am here giving kudos to them” Ilori stated.
The former Chairman of Alimoso Local Government, Lagos also site an example of himself that to the glory of God, he has served and still serving as a policy formulator & implementer in the Environmental sectors of three south west states namely Lagos, Ondo & currently Osun. He attributed the feat to the glory of God and selfless service to humanity. He then urged the students to emulate the character of selfless leaders for them to achieve a brighter future.
Bola Ilori was then presented an award; Icon Excellence of the Year 2013 and he donated handsomely for the progress of the organisation to encourage the boys.
Hon Bola Ilori also used the opportunity of the event to meet with the ACN followers that graced the occasion to honour him, he urged them to be united as one and always remain calm as they are in right direction.
Ilori who speaks in local dialects said “Firstly, I want to appreciate those of you that are here despite the short notice, it shows our level of commitment and God will continue to guide us. And I want to urge us all, those that are here and those that are not here to remain calm as we are in right track and urge them to be united in all course as it is only oneness that can make us achieve great things”.
He also said the merger into APC will afford everybody a better opportunity to serve the nation.
Hon Bola Ilori also paid a condolence visit to the Ondo State Chairman of ACN; Chief Olusola Adesoji on the death of his wife; Mrs Adesoji.
Ilori, while signing the condolence register described the woman as a mother of all who gave her all to support her husband, our Chairman during all the political struggles and he prays God to give all the fortitude to bear the great loss.
