Police, hunters rescue 11 kidnap victims in Ekiti

Eleven kidnap victims who were abducted at various locations within Ekiti State in the last three weeks have been rescued.
They were rescued by the combined team of the Police and vigilante group at Esure Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.

Police, hunters rescue 11 kidnap victims in Ekiti University, Ile Ife, Femi Omisore, was among those rescued.   Others included: Mrs. W.A Abiola from Ibadan, Dr  (Mrs) Folasade Alade, Ekiti State University,  Dr. Kikelomo  Adegun, EKSU, Mrs. Folake Adeniyi Ayeni, Ibadan, Mrs. Aladenika Margret, Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido, Mrs. Lydia Agnes and her daughter, Dr Ibrahim, Dr Yemi Abiola and one Alhaja Bili Abiola, Mrs. Ogunlola and Mr.  Jimi Johnson.
One of the victims who was said to have fallen ill was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Governor  Ayodele Fayose commended the Police Commissioner, Mr Etop John James and the Director of the State Security Service, Mr Duke Fubara, for the success of the rescue operation.
