Anchor University admission screening exercise kicks off
Anchor University has begun the screening exercise for the 2017/2018 academic session with a good turnout at the University’s campus, Lagos.
The exercise started on Saturday, 5 August, 2017 and is expected to continue at the Campus until the beginning of a new academic session in October.
Addressing the parents at the institution’s Multipurpose Hall, the University’s Ag Registrar, Mr Abimbola Olulesi assured them of Anchor University’s readiness to be a pacesetter in university education in Nigeria and beyond.
According to one of the students, Esther Adetutu Borokini who applied for English and Literary Studies, the exercise was excellent.
“I was happy with the atmosphere and the friendliness of the people that screened me at the venue. I am looking forward to becoming the best at what I will be doing in Anchor University,” she said.
The screening continues on a daily basis at the University Campus while students from outside Lagos will be screened at the other screening venues across the country on 12 August, 2017.
Earlier, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Joseph Afolayan, while addressing prospective students from Deeper Life High School who visited the school, as part of their summer programme had highlighted the vision of the institution.
He told the students that “Anchor University is set to transform lives while aiming to compete with reputable University across the world.”
